A limited abdominal ultrasound looks at a specific organ or area, such as the gallbladder, liver or a single quadrant of the abdomen, when your doctor needs a focused answer to one question.
Please do not eat or drink for 6 to 8 hours before the exam unless your doctor tells you otherwise. The exam usually takes about 15 to 30 minutes.
This exam is performed by an ARDMS-registered sonographer at our Beverly Hills office, and is also available through our EZ Diagnostic mobile ultrasound service at your home, clinic or care facility. Images are interpreted by a board-certified physician, and results are sent to your referring healthcare provider. Please bring your physician’s order and a photo ID to your appointment. Questions?
