Ultrasound of the heart to assess heart structure, valves and pumping function.
$300.00
An echocardiogram (2D echo) uses ultrasound to show the heart’s chambers, valves and walls as they move. Doctors order it to evaluate symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest discomfort or a heart murmur, and to measure how well the heart is pumping.
No preparation is needed. You will lie on your side while small stickers (ECG leads) are placed on your chest. The exam usually takes about 45 to 60 minutes.
This exam is performed by an ARDMS-registered sonographer at our Beverly Hills office, and is also available through our EZ Diagnostic mobile ultrasound service at your home, clinic or care facility. Images are interpreted by a board-certified physician, and results are sent to your referring healthcare provider. Please bring your physician’s order and a photo ID to your appointment. Questions?
