Ultrasound of the leg veins to check for blood clots (DVT) or vein problems.
$350.00
A lower extremity venous ultrasound examines the veins of the legs. It is most often used to check for a blood clot (deep vein thrombosis, or DVT) when there is leg swelling or pain, and can also evaluate varicose veins and vein valve problems.
No preparation is needed. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. The exam usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes. If you have sudden chest pain or shortness of breath, call 911.
This exam is performed by an ARDMS-registered sonographer at our Beverly Hills office, and is also available through our EZ Diagnostic mobile ultrasound service at your home, clinic or care facility. Images are interpreted by a board-certified physician, and results are sent to your referring healthcare provider. Please bring your physician’s order and a photo ID to your appointment. Questions? Call (310) 598-6208.
